W.I. on a very enjoyable walk

W.I. on a very enjoyable walk.

We meet at 7:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall and all local women are very welcome to join, or just to come to an open meeting and see if you’d like to join.

The meeting starts with a short business section, to discuss what is happening in our meetings and in the wider W. I.. Then we have a speaker, followed by a substantial tea. Recent speakers have discussed a Kilimanjaro trek, the pros and cons of Genetically Modified foods and the history and archaeology of the Chew Valley Lakes.

One meeting a year is a garden party, and we have a summer outing.

We run several other activities for members. These include a Craft Group, which meets monthly and a reading club which meets bi-monthly. We also arrange half-day walks for members and their partners, which invariable end up with a pub lunch.

If you are interested in knowing more or coming to a meeting please contact Sylvia Young on 01225-464622.
